Our review methodology
Every platform reviewed on VLT Markets is assessed against a consistent set of criteria. We do not accept payment for reviews or for favourable ratings. Our review process includes:
- Regulation and licensing: Is the platform regulated? By which authority? What protections does this provide?
- Security: What custody arrangements exist? Is there two-factor authentication? What is the track record on security incidents?
- Fees and spreads: What does it actually cost to trade? Are fees disclosed clearly?
- Asset coverage: Which markets and instruments are available?
- User experience: How straightforward is the platform to use for different levels of trader?
- Customer support: How responsive and effective is support when things go wrong?
